Separate sealed tenders under Pre-Qualification system for the following works are invited from the registered contractors under Class – I as per revised monetary limit of Rs.75.00 lakhs and above in Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board or in any other Government Departments / Government undertakings of Tamil Nadu Government only by the Superintending Engineer, Chennai North Circle, No.5, Kamarajar Salai, Chennai – 600 005 on 23.11.2007 upto 3.00 pm as per Office clock. The same will be opened on the same day at 3.05 pm by the undersigned in the presence of Tender Scrutiny Committee and tenderer or their authorized agents who choose to be present at that time.

The tender schedule for the works can be had from the office of the Superintending Engineer, Chennai North Circle, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, No.5, Kamarajar Salai, Chennai – 600 005. on written requisition along with the cost of tender documents as mentioned in Column 5 on the date and time as mentioned in Column 6 above.








CONDITION FOR ISSUE OF TENDER DOCUMENTS

  1. The Contractors should be of registered contractor under Class – I with a revised monetory limit of Rs.75.00 lakhs and above in Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board or in any other Government Department / Undertaking of Government of Tamil Nadu only. A copy of registration of contractor should be furnished.

  2. The Contractors should have executed the works of similar nature costing more than 50% of the value of work put to tender in a single contract in Government Department / Government Undertakings. If executing the works, they should have completed at least 50% of the tender value of the work. Necessary certificate from the concerned Superintending Engineer should be produced.

  3. The total value of cash balance and bank credit should be more than 5% of the value of work intending for tender. The certificate issued by the bank indicating the cash balance and bank credit should be on or after 12.11.2007 and the same shall be produced.

  4. Tender documents will be issued only after verifying credential produced by the intending tenderer regarding their registration, previous performance, nature and value of work done etc.,

  5. The Pre-Qualification tender conditions and other details can be had from the office of the Superintending Engineer, Chennai North Circle,

Chennai – 600 005.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Tender received without E.M.D. in proper form in tenderer’s account as specified in the tender schedule, unsealed tenders and tenders received after due date and time will be summarily rejected.


  1. Telegraphic tender / Conditional tender will not be accepted.


  1. Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board will not be responsible for any postal delay.


  1. In case if the due date for receipt of tender happens to be a holiday, the tenders will be received and opened on the immediate succeeding working day without any change in the time as indicated above.


5. The undersigned reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without

assigning any reasons thereof.

Note:-

The tender should be accompanied by three envelopes ‘A’, ‘B’ and ‘C’ duly superscribed with name of work, reference No., due date of tender with the name of tenderer and sealed with the following particulars.


ENVELOPE “A” : should contain E.M.D. as prescribed

ENVELOPE “B” : should contain duly filled in Pre-qualification schedules.

ENVELOPE “C” : should contain duly filled in Price schedule.


The above three envelopes should be put into an envelope duly sealed and superscribed with name of work, reference No., due date of tender with the name of tenderer and addressed to the Superintending Engineer, Chennai North Circle, Tamil Nadu Slum Clearance Board, No.5, Kamarajar Salai, Chennai – 05.


At the time and date notified for opening, the overall envelope and envelope “A” will be opened first and the envelop “B” of those bidders who have satisfied the requirement of E.M.D. will be opened on the same day. If any of the tenderer has put the price schedule in envelope “A” (or) “B” their tender will be rejected. The envelope “C” of those bidders who have fulfillied the requirement of pre-qualification will be opened in the presence of tenderer on a later date. The date and time of opening of envelope “C” will be intimated well in advance to the qualified tenderers.


The undersigned reserves the right to reject any or all the tenders without assigning any reasons thereof.
